Investing in Learning
Vietnam, once the crucible that shaped a generation of Americans, now struggles to become a partner in the global economy. Educating its children is a critical priority towards doing so. Over the past quarter century, Vietnam has been working to rebuild its educational system with the assistance of many concerned world citizens. But the numbers are overwhelming: Vietnam must build 20,000 new schools to meet the educational needs of its children.By building schools, the Vietnam Children’s Fund heals the past and looks to the future.
In cooperation with Vietnamese officials, the Vietnam Children’s Fund has identified locations throughout the country where the need for new schools is most desperate.
The Vietnam Children's Fund gratefully acknowledges generous support from the following companies and foundations, as well as special friends Mr. H.F. Lenfest, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Lomma, Mr. Binh Tran and Mr. Fred Smith.
We are proud of our reputation for sound fiscal management and ethical stewardship of donor funds.
