Rebuilding Vietnam One School at a Time

A Letter from Kiều Chinh

Welcome to the VCF website!

Kieu Chin

As a founder of VCF, I give my warmest support to the worthy projects of this organization.

I am proud that my native country, despite its numerous difficulties, has always valued education. At the same time, I am heartbroken by the spectacle of children, so enthusiastic at the prospect of learning, having to attend school in ramshackle buildings made of mud and straw or those in small hamlets with no schools at all. The mission of the Vietnam Children’s Fund is to go wherever the need exists. The VCF constructs new schools for children in even the most isolated of locations and in the poorest parts of the country.

I hope that the photos on this site will communicate to you the dire need and motivate you to support VCF’s work in building schools. No contribution is too small. $150,000 builds a two-story school with eight well-equipped classrooms, with electricity, clean water, and indoor toilets.

On behalf of the Board and the children of the VCF, I thank you for your support in this important cause.

Cordially,

Kiều Chinh
